With a quiet thud, the shuttle settled back in the Normandy and Claire was the first one out, popping the clasps on her armor as she walked. She was tired, and covered in mud (or something a bit more sinister than mud but she didn’t want to think about it), but they had gotten the job done. James was second out, ducking off to his corner of the shuttle bay, and Kaidan saddled up beside her as she clicked the last clasp.
